A common question:

What should we wear? When I book with clients, I like to make the experience as unique and enjoyable as possible! I like to send out questionnaires to learn more about you. I want to make sure I have a solid understanding of your vision so we capture photographs that truly reflect your personality or personalities.

One BIG way we express ourselves is through our clothing! While there are obviously very specific examples of outfits in my Pinterest board (click here to see!), I encourage you to wear what makes you feel AWESOME. Here are some tips I've come up with throughout my experience:

Layering with something like a cardigan, jacket, or scarf helps bring your photos some dynamic. The photo of this lovely family to the left wore layers all around. Layering helps your photos have more depth, more character. By layering, you create different fits and fabrics, rendering your images more interesting and complex!

Fall 2019: The perfect fall outfits coordinated to perfection!

Fun pattern play makes these photos POP (although this lovely gentleman here is a COUNTRY singer. Ha, get it?)

That super trendy hat you bought but never know when to wear it? PHOTOSHOOT!

These tips work together to create interesting, multidimensional images. I encourage you to check out my Pinterest board I put together with suggestions for clients. Of course, if you have any questions, you can always shoot me a message. I'm your hype girl.

The last piece of advise I'd like to offer is a little cheesy: have a good time; that's the whole point. Use this opportunity to share love, make a memory. I want you to see your photos and remember how much you laughed and how present you were in the moment. Take the time during our session to leave everything behind. I know it can be stressful - especially with families with little ones - to get everyone ready for photos, but I encourage you to take a few deep breaths when you arrive and reset. Armed with these tips, you'll feel as good as you look.
